NOTICE AND ORDER OF GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that a General Election is ordered to be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and City Council Members for Position #1 and Position #2 for a three-year term each and, if necessary, ordering a runoff election to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008.

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker Street, Monday April 28, 2008 through Thursday May 1, 2008 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Friday May 2, 2008 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and noon, Saturday May 3, 2007 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and Monday May 5, 2008 and Tuesday May 6, 2008 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Request for an application for a ballot by mail shall be made to Barbara F. Long, City Secretary, 300 West Walker Street, League City, Texas 77573. Completed and signed applications for ballot by mail must be received by noon on Friday, May 2, 2008.

The polling places for qualified and registered voters residing in the City of League City will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, May 10, 2008, and are as follows:

L. C. Pct #1 - Galveston Cty Pcts 263, 286, 455, 464, 487 and Harris Cty Pct 655 which lie within the corporate boundaries of the City – Fire Station No. 4, 175 Bay Area Boulevard

L. C. Pct #2 - Galveston Cty Pcts 455, 487, and 488 which lie within the corporate boundaries of the City – Old Fire Station No. 2, 411 Newport Boulevard

L. C. Pct #3 - Galveston Cty Pcts 220, 340, 389, 402, 453, 454, 471, 482, and 487 which lie within the corporate boundaries of the City – Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker Street

L. C. Pct #4 - Galveston Cty Pcts 398, 452, 453, 454, 467, 471, and 490 which lie within the corporate boundaries of the City - Fire Station #1, 601 Second Street

CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXASAVISO Y ORDEN DE ELECCION GENERAL

Por la presente se notifica y se ordena una Elección General que se llevará a cabo el Sábado, 10 de Mayo de 2008, con el propósito de elegir el Alcalde y Concejal para la Posición #1 y Posición #2 para un término de tres-años cada uno, si es necesario, ordenando que una elección de Pérdidas para ser tenida el sábado, el 16 de Junio de 2007.

La votacion adelantada en persona se llevara a cabo: Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 W Walker que estara abierto: el Lunes 28 de Abril de 2008 a Jueves, 1 de Mayo de 2008 entre las horas de 8:00 de la mañana y 6:00 de la tarde, a el Viernes 2 de Mayo de 2008 entre las horas de 8:00 de la mañana y el mediodía, el Sábado el 3 de Mayo entre las horas de 7:00 de la mañana y 5:00 de la tarde, y el Lunes 5 de Mayo y Martes 6 de Mayo de 2008 entre las horas de 7:00 de la mañana y 7:00 de la tarde. Las solicitudes para boletas que se votarán por correo deberán enviarse a Barbara F. Long, City Secretary, 300 West Walker Street, League City, TX 77573. Las solicitudes para boletas que se votarán por correo, ya llenadas y firmadas, deberán recibirse antes del mediodía del Viernes, 2 de Mayo.

Los lugares de la votación para votantes calificados y registrados que residen en la Ciudad de League City estarán abiertos de 7:00 de la mañana a 7:00 de la tarde en el día de las elecciones, el 10 de Mayo de 2008, y son los siguientes:
